CIGRE is releasing a new version of eCIGRE in two stages. The first this year in November the second after the Session in 2024.
The new version is being optimised to produce enhanced search engine optimisation for Google and other search engines. This process will be progressive with professional expertise helping us to see better results in this competitive space.
CIGRE continues to advertise selected papers on LinkedIn and Twitter feeds allowing access to the papers from your device wherever you are and whenever you wish to read it.
In this edition we are proud to publish 7 excellent papers that have undergone a rigorous peer review process by international experts nominated by the CIGRE Study Committee chairpersons. Note that almost all papers are required to be revised with additional information or clarity being requested. This ensures that the content can withstand scrutiny from global experts. Authors can be proud that they have succeeded in obtaining approval to publish.
One paper in particular, entitled, “Applying a physics-consistent general power theory to practical electricity systems with unbalance and periodic waveform distortion – Part 1: Implementation, testing, application to DG” underwent extensive review by reviewers, the Editorial Board as well as selected eminent professors. It was only approved after many revisions and discussion. The paper offers somewhat controversial theories which may challenge the norm. Readers are encouraged to study and comment on the theory proposed. Part 2 of the topic will be published in the February edition of CSE.
Other topics in this edition include temperature effect on alloy conductors, and a number of topics on operation and modelling systems with high penetration of inverter based resources (IBR). The increase in IBR penetration is continuing to present challenges to operators and systems. These papers are cutting edge theories and examples of how other areas are managing the situation.
As can be seen from the above the papers are all extremely relevant covering a wide range of topics. As the papers are thoroughly reviewed and published within 12 months of receipt from the authors, the content is very current and presents the cutting edge of technology.
As can be seen from the above the papers are all extremely relevant and highly technical covering information relating to most issues relating to power delivery globally at present.
