Welcome to this, the 37^th edition of CSE, a Scopus registered (E-ISSN 2426-1335) magazine which provides the following benefits:

Note that the journal does not have a specific template to follow but has a list of instructions for authors to adhere to. This allows for more freedom for the authors to adapt the best format to suit the content. The scope of the journal has to adhere to the topics dealt with in CIGRE to ensure the highest qualified reviewers can be appointed.

The review process is exceptionally rigorous and papers are only published after two review cycles and approval of the Study Committee chairperson. Authors can therefore be proud to have their papers published in this journal.

This edition contains a fewer number of papers as two papers are of a longer length providing more details and analysis. The “best of” papers include two papers from the Canadian symposium. This includes a student paper of high quality indicating CIGRE’s ongoing support and encouragement of young engineers. The remaining papers cover a similar theme which is managing the grid with high penetration IBR’s. Analysis of grid following and grid forming performance is also included. This topic is becoming increasing important following power outages in Europe recently.
