The journal is active and indexed in Scopus and the details can be accessed here.

The CITE score continues to improve above unity and is now at 1.2. This indicates the quality of papers presented. In addition CIGRE is launching the revised e-cigre platform in October which should allow for detection of CIGRE documents by search engines such as Google scholar.

CIGRE continues to advertise selected papers on LinkedIn and Twitter feeds allowing access to the papers from your device wherever you are and whenever you wish to read it.

In this edition we are proud to publish 8 excellent papers that have undergone a rigorous peer review process by international experts nominated by the CIGRE Study Committee chairpersons. Note that almost all papers are required to be revised with additional information or clarity being requested. This ensures that the content can withstand scrutiny from global experts. Authors can be proud that they have succeeded in obtaining approval to publish.

Topics in this edition include managing the grid with large scale renewable penetration including black start capability. In addition we have papers on forecasting peak load hours and using weather parameters for optimising overhead line design. There is also an interesting paper from Brazil highlighting the possibility of utilising transmission lines for internet enhancement leading to smart grid realisation.

As can be seen from the above the papers are all extremely relevant and highly technical covering information relating to most issues relating to power delivery globally at present.
